Per Allora - For Later!

Per Allora  - For Later!

I read once that in a part of Italy there is a custom where people when ordering coffee for themselves or for a group of people they would pay and leave some extra money enough to pay for another coffee “Per Allora” for later. This meant that the money left behind could be used to serve a customer that may not have money to pay for their coffee.

This thoughtful gesture left me thinking of the many times while driving in different corners of streets and even hanging out at strip malls I have seen people begging for money to either feed themselves or their family.  Wouldn’t it be a gesture of love if we can find it in our hearts to do the something similar to our friends in Italy? Leave change behind at a cafĂ©, restaurant or even your local grocery store and tell the waiter/clerk. Hey this is “For Later” understanding that the later is for someone that may need it more.

This would take a lot of discipline, order and honesty from people to do. But it would be a wonderful challenge that would reap some riches to our soul. A ripple effect of positivity, a message that says that we care, and not only are we willing to share a moment of our life with a stranger but we are a giving species not a self-centered/selfish one as we are portrait by many these days.   What a pleasant surprise it would be to see a smile from a stranger and instead of them thanking you, Let’s thank them. Let’s thank them for giving us the opportunity to SHARE a moment of our life with them. Let’s thank them for teaching us the gift of GIVING, the gift of GRATITUDE! As with many opportunities at hand this will be the one that will bring you the most blessings!

Avere una splendida giornata!
